A Farmer Left His Gate Open on Purpose. The Reason Brought the Village Together

For generations that gate had always stayed locked.

The old farm gate had been shut and chained for as long as anyone in the village could remember.

Then one spring the farmer swung it wide open and pinned up a sign inviting anyone to come pick what they needed.
