I Covered My Kitchen Clock And My Productivity Doubled Overnight
I thought watching the time kept me on track. It was quietly wrecking me.
There was a big clock on my kitchen wall and I glanced at it constantly. How long have I been at this. How much time is left. Am I behind.

Every glance yanked me out of whatever I was doing and dropped me into a puddle of low-grade panic about the hours slipping away.
One afternoon I draped a tea towel over it, half as a joke. Suddenly my tasks had no soundtrack of ticking dread, and I just worked until things were done.
I get more done now and I feel less rushed doing it, which should not both be true. If time anxiety is your problem, maybe stop letting it stare at you.
